How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
This Emaze video shows the contrasts and similarities between our film trailer, film poster and magazine cover. Our main aim within our tasks were to include the horror genre within all three things and to link them all together with our main character, Sam. I chose to use Emaze because I thought that this would be the easiest way to show the information about our brand identity and it was a good way to show the information in a creative way.
This Wall Wisher wall shows the power of brand identity and shows what we aimed to do for our three products. The Wall Wisher wall shows two very well known horror films. These films have a three very similar posters across their three films which they have produced, for example "Paranormal Activity" shows the all black background and a red font. It also looks like some sort of surveillance camera which shows the main part of the film. By making these posters similar they are able to create their brand identity, this makes the Paranormal Activity film easily recognisable just by seeing the type of font and colours used. This is the same for "Saw", this features a white background with a very distinct 'W' also with a different body part for each poster. This also makes the brand stronger as the posters showing three body parts immediately referencing the horror genre, meaning that when the poster the viewer would think that this is a horror film and would link that back to "Saw". This is what we attempted to do with our three products that we produced as it would easily create our brand identity.
