TITLE CHOICES
|
When deciding our title for our film we came up with a variety of title choices. Due to the plot of our teaser trailer we wanted to base our title choice around the sense of vulnerability or loneliness as our main protagonist is alone is an abandoned city. Our original choice was Restricted after debating with Isolation and Alone as they all link to our lonely character. Eventually we decided to name our trailer Immediate Evac 117, we chose this title purely based on our soundtrack and story line. All life has been evacuated leaving our lonely character in the city by himself. Furthermore our soundtrack uses a backing voice 'Immediate evac 117' which tells us the basis of the story behind the film, this is an effective title because the audience gain an insight of what to expect.

FONT
On horror posters and in trailers the font is a effective aspect in order to catch the attention of the audience. No matter how beautiful things are laid out on the page, if the typography is terrible, people will not want to take interest in the poster or on the film. We believe a bad or irrelevant font can make something look cheap and slapped on, causing the viewer to become distracted by the aesthetic.
In most horror films relevant to ours the font choice is all quite similar. The use of font is big and bold so it stands out to the audience. Our horror titles will mirror these because it's zombie action as well as horror so the title needs to catch the audiences attention. The large, bold text makes it stand out in comparison to the image but then the smart use of red makes the audience aware its a horror film along with the image.
